    King Chris (Christopher Smith)

    12th November 2017

    Christopher began his training at Princeton Dance Theatre under the direction of Susan Jaffe, Principal dancer from the American Ballet Theatre.

     

    He always loved learning new styles so he began training in contemporary and hip hop at Icon Dance Complex under the direction of Geo Hubela. Shortly after, Chris attended University of the Arts, Philadelphia on a scholarship. While in school he danced in two major companies in Philadelphia: Eleone Dance Theatre and Smoke, Lilies, and Jade Arts Initiative.

     

    Christopher was asked to perform with Pennsylvania Ballet and was on a full scholarship at The Rock School during the summer program. He later began touring all over the country performing in musicals such as The Wiz and Hairspray.

    Since he has been in Los Angeles he has been working constantly with numerous artist such as Mc Lyte, Lil Mama, Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj, Justine Skye, Tamar Braxton and many more. Christopher has been teaching contemporary world-wide and is now working creatively with Laurieann Gibson and her team BoomKack.

    Mackenzie Crosley

    Mackenzie, an Oklahoma native, is a working dancer, teacher and choreographer in Los Angeles.

     

    Her professional credits include music videos, back up dancing and performances with Missy Elliot, Polica, Sharaya, Sephora, Ceasar’s Palace, LA’s Choreographers Carnival, recording artists Hybrid Digital, Dez Cleo and Dario Benitez and rap artist Oh Blimey. She was a featured dancer and character for the hit web-series FLiRTv and recently as a dancer on the award winning web series, Destroy the Alpha Gammas. Mackenzie was a member LA’s elite professional jazz company, FLiRT Dancers and performed in the company’s tri-annual full length company shows and in various performances around Los Angeles.

     

    She has performed all over the LA and Las Vegas areas, including hot spots like Club Nokia, the Roosevelt Hotel, San Diego Pride, Dim Mak Studios, Spot 5750, Rolling Stone Lounge, Falcon’s Lounge and Avalon. Mackenzie is on faculty at International Dance Academy (IDA) Hollywood and Millennium Dance Complex OC, as well as guest faculty at Broadway Dance Center and Capezio Peridance in New York City.

     

    She also teaches jazz and contemporary for the IDA Certificate Program. She is the CEO & Co-Founder of Soul de Soul Dance Convention, where she also travels and teaches on Faculty. Mackenzie is the Artistic Director for her Los Angeles based contemporary dance company, GEOMETRY.

     

    Mackenzie is also a judge for West Coast Dance Elite. She has also had the privilege of teaching master classes in Los Angeles, New York City, Boston and through-out the Mid-West. She also teaches locally in California at Impulse Dance Company where she choreographs for the company. Mackenzie is recognized both nationally and internationally for her distinctive and artistically grounded choreography. Her work “Fall” is premiered at the Dance Forms Productions 72nd International Choreographers Showcase at the prestigeous Festival Fringe in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 2016. Noteably, her work has also been featured on MyIndieLife.tv, FLiRT dancers, DancescapeLA, and others.

     

    She is a frequent guest choreographer for the Oklahoma City Ballet Summer Intensive. She has also choreographerd and co - produced a concept videos for Green Light Dance Project in Dallas. Her distinctive movement style, technique and ear for music continue to bring her success in her endeavors as a dancer, teacher and choreographer.

     

    She is currently based in Los Angeles and represented by The Movement Agency for dance / choreography / dance education.

    Keith Prater

    Keith "HappyFeet" Prater is a Dancer and Choreographer from Pasadena, CA where he received his formal training in Tap, Hip-Hop, Horton and Graham Modern techniques, Jazz, Contemporary, African, and Classical Ballet at Sue B. Dance Company, founded by Tap Legend Eugene “Pineapple” Jackson. While at Sue B. Dance Co., Keith also studied extensively under Master Tapper Chester Whitmore.

     

    Keith studied Dance at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. Keith also holds a Certification in Dance from the International Dance Academy Hollywood (IDA Hollywood.) He also studied under and works exclusively with Chloe and Maud Arnold from the "Syncopated Ladies," Jason Janas, Derick Grant, Sarah Reich, and Greg Russell. He has won several choreography awards and has enjoyed teaching dance for the past nine years.

     

    Keith has worked with Dawn Richard, Cedric The Entertainer, Tulsa Opera, Tulsa Ballet, Portico Dans Theatre, Theatre Tulsa, and Brian Nhira from Season 10 of NBC's "The Voice."
